Overview

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ is a first person, action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment – a Ubisoft Studio, in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney.

Built using the latest iteration of the Snowdrop engine, and developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings to life the alluring world of Pandora with all of its beauty and danger in an immersive, open world experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

World & Level Design

  • Designed and built the open world to leverage the connectivity between player interactions, on a macro and micro scale.
  • Ownership of features, such as open world content, tools and development infrastructure, that were managed to completion.
  • Designed tools, workflows, best practices and systems for creating open world content.
  • Worked closely with the directors to bring the alluring world of Pandora to life, through the realization of environments from initial whiteboxing to final art pass.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ - World Building

My work extended beyond establishing the design of player interaction, it also involved handcrafting, from initial whiteboxing to final art pass.
